Friends of Heather View coffee morning – join our community

Home news

Our ‘Friends of Heather View’ group is looking forward to its first coffee morning on September 30th at Doyle’s coffee shop in our internal village.

Heather View is committed to supporting elderly people and those with dementia along with their relatives, friends and carers. We understand how difficult and upsetting it can be for relatives and friends when a loved one develops dementia or when an elderly relative becomes too frail to care for themselves. That’s why we have introduced Friends of Heather View – a community for relatives, friends and carers of elderly people and those living with dementia.

Regular support meetings will be organised for Friends of Heather View where members will have the opportunity to ask questions, meet other carers and share experiences. We will also hold regular information, advice and social events.

Friends of Heather View and their loved ones will also be welcome to make the most of the facilities on offer at our indoor village – you and your loved one might like to enjoy a hair treatment at our salon and a spot of lunch at Doyle’s coffee shop or an afternoon tea at Tea on the Green followed by a film at our cinema.

This group is a fun and enjoyable way for carers and their loved ones (whether resident here or not), to get out and socialise with others, to offer mutual support and exchange ideas and experiences. If you haven’t joined yet, please do! It’s completely free - just call us for your personal membership card. Afterwards, simply tell us each time you intend to visit, then come along and enjoy unlimited use of all Heather View’s village facilities.
