Taking the fear out of planning for long term care

Home news

Care UK is an award-winning provider of residential and nursing care for older people and the seminar, at the home in Dame Mary Walk, is open to anyone preparing to make decisions about the provision of long term care for a loved one.

Guest speakers at the event on Tuesday 26th February include Brian Fisher of Friends Life, talking about long-term care planning, and representatives from Hill & Abbott solicitors who will talk about wills, lasting powers of attorney and living wills. Harris Knights & Co Ltd will be providing valuable information about the importance of financial advice.

The home’s Rosemary Waller said: “We are running a series of free seminars designed to help people who care for an older relative, or indeed may need information to assist in the planning of their own futures. Financial planning and legal matters regarding finances are of great concern to many people, so we hope this event will be of help.”

The event, which runs from 11am to 1pm, is free but places are limited. Anyone interested in attending should contact Rosemary Waller, on 01787 478473 or e-mail rosemary.waller@careuk.com.
