Care UK shortlisted across 14 Care Home Awards categories

Care UK colleagues across all disciplines – from kitchen teams to learning and development, marketing to care – are celebrating following the release of this year’s Care Home Awards shortlist.

Colleagues appear on the shortlist 16 times across 14 categories which include:

Following a year of significant growth in 2025, Care UK has demonstrated that the high quality of care remains a top priority across the estate. The shortlisting for Outstanding Larger Care Group Provider highlights that residents continue to be at the heart of the homes, and that colleagues remain dedicated to helping them to live fulfilling lives.

Care UK has also been recognised UK-wide for outstanding care, nutrition, and innovation. Next Level Tea, shortlisted for the Best for Innovation Award, is a prime example of working in partnership with an external specialist to deliver innovation in nutrition and hydration.

Created between Andrew Mussett, Care UK’s Hotel Service Manager, and James Green of Tea from The Manor, Next Level Tea was designed specifically to support residents who live with dysphagia and are on levels one to four of the IDDSI framework.

The team behind the teas made sure they were tasty, ensuring they maintained their flavour even after adding thickening powder, and listened to residents to make them just to their tastes.

This collaboration is just one example of Care UK’s commitment to person-centred care, with many more examples within the shortlisted awards.

This year, it is the Care Home Awards’ 10th Anniversary, and Care UK is sponsoring the Best Sustainability Initiative Award.

The winners will be announced at the Care Home Awards ceremony on the 15th of May.
