A care home in Stroud has enjoyed the company of some b-ewe-tiful friends to celebrate the start of spring.
Residents at Care UK’s Scarlet House care home, on Westward Road in Ebley, were delighted when two lambs sprang into the home to help them welcome in the new season.
Team members and residents had fun interacting with Iris and Sooty, who were brought in by Stroud Mini Farm.
Residents were also able to learn more about lambing season, prompting them to reminisce about their own experiences with animals in their younger years.
85-year-old resident Janet Cadman said: “They have been wonderful, I will never forget this!”
Adrian Boldog, Home Manager at Scarlet House, added: “We’re always looking for exciting activities to put a smile on residents’ faces.
“Animals are a fantastic way of improving relaxation and wellbeing in older people. The residents loved meeting Iris and Sooty, and this visit was a great way of prompting social interaction as residents shared cherished memories with each other.
“I’d like to extend a big thank you to Stroud Mini Farm for a lovely day – we’re definitely ready for spring now!”
