A care home in Wilmslow has welcomed some very special furry friends.
The team at Care UK’s Long Stone Manor, on Manchester Road, invited local residents and their four-legged companions to its dog café, bringing together the community for an afternoon of tail-wagging fun.

Guests enjoyed homemade sweet treats and drinks, while the canine visitors were treated to bone-shaped biscuits of their own.
The event was filled with plenty of fuss, cuddles and playtime, delighting residents and pooches alike.
Resident Anne Marie Harries, 86, said: “To have the dogs come in and visit us today has been lovely. With their little wagging tails, I loved having lots of cuddles with all of them.
“If I could have put one up my jumper and kept her, I would have!”
The home created the event after being inspired by the positive impact animal visits have had on residents’ wellbeing and on hearing how much they enjoyed the company of their own pets in their younger years.
Laura Foster, Home Manager at Long Stone Manor, said: “We all had such a fun time welcoming the local community into the home while enjoying the company of our furry friends.
“Being close to animals can help lift a person’s mood and stimulate social interaction – and our cuddly companions were brilliant at doing just that!
“We’re already looking forward to hosting our next event and would love to welcome everyone back to join us.”
