Hayley Coatsworth

Home Manager

Hayley Coatsworth

I’ve worked at Kings Court for almost 19 years, having started as a Care Assistant before progressing to Senior Carer, then Deputy Manager and now Home Manager.

I joined Care UK because they really care about both residents and colleagues. They do an amazing job of helping team members in their homes to progress.

As Home Manager, I run Kings Court and ensure everyone in the home is safe and happy. I believe the most important quality to have is to care. I care about residents and will do everything I can to ensure they have a fulfilling and happy life while living with us at Kings Court.

I love my job. Becoming Home Manager at Kings Court has been the biggest highlight of my career to date. I’m excited to make positive changes in my role, as I love to see residents happy and loving life. I’m proud when I know that we as a team are making Kings Court an amazing place to live.

A fun fact about me is that I come from a farming family, and I love cows! When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family.

Jules Coulthard
Jules Coulthard
Deputy Manager

I have worked for Kings Court since 1992 and stayed with Kings Court when Care UK took over in 2016. Throughout the years at Kings Court there has had many challenges but for me Kings Court is like a family, especially as it is based in a small community and I have known a lot of the residents all of my life. My greatest highlight whilst being at Kings Court would be winning the Pride of Teesdale award which I was nominated for by a resident.

At King’s Court I am the Dementia Champion, which means that I have to ensure that all of our staff are up to date on training and supported with our dementia residents. I love this part of my role because it allows me to ensure that our dementia residents are being supported to the best of our abilities. I also love being a part of the mealtimes experience and ensuring that all our residents have a meaningful and enjoyable mealtime.

Outside of work I live and work on my family farm with my husband where we have a pedigree flock of texel sheep which we love to show at the local agricultural show in the summer. I often take 2 weeks off during lambing season too as I love to get involved and be hands on to support my husband.

Head Chef

I started working for Kings Court in 1992. My passion for food started when I was younger, and I always knew that I wanted to become a chef and use my creative side in the kitchen. This is why I love working for Care UK as I’m given freedom to be able to provide well balance, healthy and nutritious meals for the residents that they can all enjoy.

As the Head Chef I do not only cook and prepare the food, I also get to work in the dining rooms at mealtimes, which means I get first hand feedback from our residents which is one of the favourite parts of my role. It’s great to talk to them about their favourite dishes, what they liked and didn’t like as this feedback helps shape our menus throughout the year. This enables us to provide the residents with food they know and love, which can often leave me with a challenge of a new dish, which I love getting to create!

Business Administrator

I have worked at Care UK since 2014, firstly starting as a Care Assistant and then in 2020 I became a Home Admin. Prior to Care UK, I come from an admin based background, but I wanted a different challenge, so by moving to Kings Court to become a Care Assistant it allowed me to challenge myself within a new environment, which then lead to be becoming an Admin Assistant which I love.

Throughout the years at Kings Court I have developed great relationships with not only the residents but also their families which is one of my favourite parts of working at Kings Court, as everyone is so friendly and engaging.

In my spare time I love to spend time with my sons and grandsons, socialising with my friends and I love to cook!
