On Monday 22nd October, from 2pm - 4pm, the team at Larkland House will open the doors to the care home for its ‘Staying safe and preventing scams’ event.
Community warden for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Lorraine Rellis, will be on hand to deliver an informative session on how to stay safe at home. She will also offer expert information on fraud awareness and reporting a scam.
After the event there will be a Q&A session, refreshments and an opportunity to meet the team at Larkland House, as well as take a closer look at the care home.
Home manager, Shawndell Barker, said: “Here at Larkland House,we understand that providing advice and guidance onthe importance of staying safe on the internet and at home can be incredibly helpful for everyone, but especially for older people, as they are often targeted by scams and cold calling.
“We are delighted to have Lorraine joining us, who can provide professional guidance in this area, and we hope local people will take the opportunity to benefit from her expertise.”
