Dashwood Manor is a purpose-built care home in Basingstoke. Our dedicated team work closely to provide residential care and short-term respite care. We also deliver specialised dementia care and sensitive and sympathetic end of life care.

With its highly experienced team, a wide range of care services, plus a café, cinema and hair salon, our Basingstoke care home focus on your loved one’s care, health and wellbeing. Ask about our luxurious Serenity beds, our new plush queen size adjustable beds for added style and comfort.

Dashwood Manor is also known for its on-site physiotherapy service and its dementia care hub service for the community.

Dashwood Manor is officially a ‘Veteran Friendly Framework’ accredited care home, recognising our best practice and highest standards of care for the Armed Forces community.

The personal care and attention given to my loved one is exceptional, all the team are diligent and they genuinely care about us. He had a couple of falls resulting in hospitalisation and they helped me get him back to the home as soon as possible so he could recover in comfort, he hated the hospital and it wasn't a good environment for him. They are on our side and they go out of their way to make our lives easier.

The Customer Relationship Manager is extremely knowledgeable about dementia and has shared lots of insightful information with us. We feel supported and much better prepared for what’s to come. The lifestyle team are excellent, they support our loved one to remain involved with the activities in the home and every week she spends time in the exercise suite, which helps to maintain her motor skills. She's getting a lot out of her time there.

The manager has been wonderful. She is a genuinely caring person, approachable and very accommodating. She has gone out of her way to put things in place for our family and respond to our needs quickly and efficiently. It's a demanding role and I admire her commitment.

It's the best care home we have seen and we looked at several before making a decision. We wanted to make sure our loved one would be looked after properly in a safe environment. We visit three times a week, and we are well known to the team and involved with decisions about the care provided. We have full confidence in the team and the care in general.

They seem to know the residents really well… they know my loved one likes to sing, and they always come to remind her when the music activities are about to start. They have a wonderful way of encouraging her to get involved without being pushy… they respect her wishes from day to day.
