Jane Fox

Home Manager

Jane Fox

I joined Care UK in 2014 as I knew it was a great company to work for.

It was rapidly becoming the number one care provider in the UK (which it’s subsequently achieved) and I wanted to be on board!

I’m an experienced home manager and have also worked as an operational manager in a housing association. I think to be a success in this role you need to be a combination of things: kind and caring, as well as organised, driven and innovative.

I love working at Hadrian House. We have a wonderful team here, who I’m hugely proud of, and I enjoy all day every day. We’re working hard to achieve our goals, and evidencing the great care we provide, so we’re ready to match – or hopefully enhance – our rating at our next CQC inspection.

Tanita Rowden
Tanita Rowden
Deputy Manager

I began working for Care UK as a Care Assistant back in 2015 as they had a good reputation in the care sector. Each year I have progressed into different roles within the same home. I feel Care UK promotes progression and offers a wide range of training and development opportunities.

As Deputy Manager, I believe you need to be passionate about care and want to make a difference. It’s also important to lead by example and be patient, empathetic, honest and transparent.

Every day here is different, and I enjoy chatting to residents and getting to know everyone's background, as well as building relationships with the residents and their family members.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and visiting new places.

Business Administrator

I started at Hadrian House as a Care Assistant in 2012, and I moved over to my current Business Admin role in 2016. I’ve achieved my Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care and Level 3 Business Admin qualifications.

My role is to support management, colleagues and residents, and I’m proud that I’m able to support every department in the home. As Business Administrator, it’s important to have good planning and organisation skills, as well as strong communication and teamwork abilities.

I love the sense of accomplishment I feel when I can leave work knowing my goal or task for the day has been completed.

Care UK is a great care provider to work for because they have a good vision and values.

When I’m not working, I can be found in various outdoor locations around the UK, wearing walking boots and binoculars.

Maintenance

To do my role well here at Hadrian House, you need to be easy going, hardworking and take pride in what you do. No two days are ever the same here, which is something I really enjoy. There is always something different to fix or check, and it feels good to know I’m helping to keep everything running smoothly.

I’ve completed a range of in-house training since joining Hadrian House. Before this, I worked in asbestos removal, and I decided to join Care UK because I was ready for a new challenge.

My biggest career highlight is simply the fact that I’ve always been in work. I’m proud that I can help others in my role and support the team. Making sure residents and colleagues are safe is the most important part of what I do.

Outside of work, one of my main interests is football.

Our experienced teams

Every day Care UK colleagues live our values of passionate, caring and teamwork to empower residents to enjoy fulfilling lives.

Carers

Our hardworking teams always keep individuals and their families at the heart of the care they provide. We work with you to shape the care your loved one receives, the food they’re served, the activities and experiences they want to do – even the ways they prefer to keep in touch with their friends and family.

Nurses

The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.

Lifestyle

Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.

Home support roles

From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.

All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes.

Infection control

Every colleague receives training in infection prevention and control as part of their induction and updates regularly through online and in-person learning. Our dedicated IPC Champions in each home help embed safe working practices and raise awareness of hygiene standards.
