Event
Cranford Grange is launching a brand-new Buddies Programme, bringing together different generations through the joy of traditional board games. Children from Knutsford Beavers and Terra Nova School, the boarding and preparatory school near Jodrell Bank, will visit the home to take part in fun-filled family games night.
Each child will be paired with a resident, who will introduce them to a variety of classic board games, sharing not only the rules but also fond memories and stories from years gone by.
The programme is designed to encourage friendship, conversation and learning across the generations. When the children return the following month, they'll have the opportunity to demonstrate the games they've learned, share their experiences, and reflect on how playing traditional board games made them feel compared with online and computer games.
