Our regular events

  • Dementia-friendly hairdressing
    Every Tuesday between 10am -1pm, Every Wednesday between 10.30am - 5.30pm

    Residents at Care UK’s Sherwood Grange, on Robin Hood Lane, have been treated to haircuts from local hairdresser, Sharon Powell, for several years, and now the home is offering the service to the local community.

  • Dementia friendly cinema club
    First Tuesday of every month at 2pm

    Our cinema club is especially for people living with dementia and their carers. We show classic ‘feel good’ films in the comfort of our home’s cinema, providing a safe, social and supportive environment for people living with dementia.

  • Singing for memories
    Monthly on Tuesday's, 11am - 12pm
    Join Richard from Memories are made of Music and meet other members of the community living with dementia and sing a variety of songs you know and love.

  • Stroke cafe
    First Thursday of each month, 11am - 12.30pm
    Join us for an opportunity for those affected by a stroke to share stories and make new friends in a relaxed and friendly environment.
