At Kingsleigh, we offer rewarding, fulfilling careers that are full of opportunity. We support all our team members with innovative training and clear career paths, and you can enjoy working in a friendly, supportive environment where our residents' wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
You’re a hard-working individual with experience working in a busy kitchen. Ideally, you’ve already got some experience in a care home setting. You’re also a caring person who understands how important mealtimes are to older, vulnerable people. You’re a good team player who takes pride in your job and is happy to go the extra mile. You know the importance of food hygiene and health and safety rules. Above all, you want to be a valued member of a friendly team. You’re keen to progress in your catering career and do your bit to improve the nutrition of older people.
Resident Companions at Care UK come from all walks of life. Some will have worked in factories, supermarkets or schools. Some are returning to work after a break or a relative to a Resident. Many have no, or minimal, experience, but are keen to explore a career in care, while many already have invaluable experience. What they all have in common is the right values. They’re adaptable, friendly, polite and caring. They enjoy working as a team with people from different cultures and backgrounds. And, they consider it a privilege to be trusted to look after others. Do you share their values? Then we could have just the role for you.
If you’re an aspiring chef with experience gained in a high paced kitchen environment and are looking for a rewarding role offering great training, work life balance and the chance to be part of a catering team that are award winning, join Care UK as a Second Chef and make a real difference.
You’re a caring person with a can-do attitude. You already have experience supporting older people, ideally including those with dementia. You’ve got the confidence to lead a care team and act as champion for the safety and dignity of residents. You have a good understanding of care planning with a Level 3 vocational qualification in Health and Social Care (either a diploma or NVQ). To you, caring is more than just a job. It’s a chance to use your compassion and skills – to make a real difference. To help you succeed, we’ll give you excellent support, quality training and fast-track career opportunities.
To professionally lead the care team during any span of duty, ensuring that a safe, effective and efficient care service is maintained which meets the needs of residents and purchasers. To provide care to residents in accordance with their assessed needs to an industry leading standard.
