Care UK shortlisted in 12 categories at the Care Home Awards

Care UK teams are celebrating after being shortlisted in 12 categories at this year’s Care Home Awards. The Care Home Awards recognise and reward excellence and innovation in care home management, operation and delivery in the UK.

Care UK is a finalist in the Outstanding Larger Group Care Provider category for its commitment to quality, engagement and growth - making it a strong contender in this category. 91% of Care UK’s homes are rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, Care Inspectorate Scotland and Care Inspectorate Wales, which is a 4% increase on the previous year. Care UK is immensely proud to maintain some of the highest regulatory ratings of larger UK providers, including being the highest-rated care provider in Scotland.

Care UK’s Bedtime Stories campaign is one of the finalists in the Best Care Home Marketing, Advertising or PR Activities category. In February 2023, as part of an intergenerational project for National Storytelling Week, residents read much-loved bedtime stories to children in their local area. As part of the campaign, residents of Cavell Court in Cringleford recorded their storytelling sessions to share online, including classic tales such as Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, and The Three Little Pigs. This inspiring campaign reached 16.4 million people worldwide.

• Best for Training and Development - Priors House
• Best for Nursing Care – Murrayside and Carpathia Grange
• Best for Specialist Care - Field Lodge and Llys Cyncoed
• Best for Indoor or Outdoor Communal Spaces - Cuttlebrook Hall
• Best New Care Home - Oxbow Manor
• Outstanding Care Provider in a Group - Halecroft Grange and Field Lodge

Results will be revealed to Care UK colleagues at the Care Home Awards ceremony on 17th May in London.
