Nealsen Veerasawmy

Home Manager

Nealsen Veerasawmy

After moving to England in 2008 I started work as a Carer for Care UK.

The company offered a platform to deliver outstanding and person-centered care, alongside career progression opportunities.

I started as a Care Assistant, before working my way up first as a Team Leader, before doing my nursing training and becoming a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, before taking over as Home Manager.

My favorite part of each day is getting to spend time with the residents, chatting and having a laugh. Also, working with the other colleagues as a team towards a goal and being able to achieve it.

The support is available within Care UK and I thoroughly enjoy being a Home Manager.

Customer Relations Manager

I am an experienced Customer Relations Manager, having worked with Care UK for over 5 years. I previously led another new home from launch to full occupancy and am excited to now help guide Francis Court to the same success.

As Customer Relations Manager you are the first point of contact with families at a very difficult and stressful time. The most crucial part of my role is to be available to support families and loved ones from the first meeting through to admission and beyond. So, the most important characteristics you can have are to be engaging, empathetic, sociable, and organised. As a team leader within the home, it is also important to be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

My favourite part of each day is meeting families, getting to know them and finding ways to be of help if I can.

It makes me extremely proud when families tell me how much they have enjoyed their visit to the home, how impressed they are with our facilities and thank me for my help.

Our experienced teams

Every day Care UK colleagues live our values of passionate, caring and teamwork to empower residents to enjoy fulfilling lives.

Carers

Our hardworking teams always keep individuals and their families at the heart of the care they provide. We work with you to shape the care your loved one receives, the food they’re served, the activities and experiences they want to do – even the ways they prefer to keep in touch with their friends and family.

Nurses

The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.

Lifestyle

Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.

Home support roles

From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.

All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes.

Infection control

Every colleague receives training in infection prevention and control as part of their induction and updates regularly through online and in-person learning. Our dedicated IPC Champions in each home help embed safe working practices and raise awareness of hygiene standards.
