Heatherbrook is a modern, purpose-designed care home set in a quiet residential area of Romford in Essex.
We provide personalised nursing and respite care for up to 45 older people who are living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
Everyone is at a different place in their dementia journey and we find out all we can about each person we care for so that we can provide care that’s as individual as they are.
Many members of our team have worked at Heatherbrook for a long time – some have been here since the home opened in 2002 – so residents are always surrounded by familiar, friendly faces. It helps us to provide consistent, person-centred, high quality care.
A choice of superb facilities
Each of the bedrooms at Heather brook is spacious and comfortably furnished and has en-suite facilities plus a 24-hour nurse call system. On each of our two floors, we offer a choice of lounges so residents can choose to be with friends or find a quiet space when they want to relax or spend time with visitors. We also have a conservatory, an activity room, a quiet room, a contemplation room and a ‘themed room’ which we adapt for different occasions.
Outside, our secure gardens feature lawns, flower beds and a patio with seating. It’s a lovely space to sit and relax in warmer weather. The home and gardens are wheelchair accessible.
We make sure that residents have opportunities to be engaged and independent. Our daily activities range from art and crafts, to baking, music and pamper sessions. We like to get out and about in the local area, whether it’s to the local pub for lunch or a trip to the seaside.
