Temporary closure of Kingsfield care home
Kingsfield is a beautiful, modern care home designed to provide the very best for older people including those living with dementia.
Sadly, in 2017, we discovered signs of some significant structural issues with the way the building had been constructed long before Care UK took over the lease.
The nature of the building and the scope of the work required made it impractical for residents to remain in the home while work was being carried out so, with help from local authority team members, arrangements were made for the residents to move to new homes.
The building has been carefully secured with all valuable items removed and redeployed or stored and the home is overseen day and night by a security company via a comprehensive CCTV network.
We hope to open Kingsfield at some point in the future. In the meantime, we are proud to announce that we will be opening two further homes in Kent in the next year:
Harrier Lodge in Whitstable will open early in 2019
Montfort Manor in Ashford will open in the autumn of 2019
We are very sorry that such disruption to our Kingsfield home proved unavoidable and we apologise to everyone affected for the inconvenience this caused.
